Mark Melvin is head of all digital and print design for marketing communications tasked with managing the Chicago Innovation brand and spreading our mission around the Chicago and beyond. This role is responsible for customizing marketing strategies for each Chicago Innovation event and delivering a new look and feel that makes each event truly unique for our growing audience. Please reach out to Mark for using Chicago Innovation branding in your organization’s own marketing collateral.
Prior to joining Chicago Innovation Mark Melvin was designing in San Francisco from 2015–2017 working at VaynerMedia, before moving on to in-house design at the mobile app fitness startup, Netpulse. In the summer of 2017, Mark moved to Chicago and decided to pivot and follow a passion for baking where he was a full-time baker at Floriole in Lincoln Park, and then took on the new challenge of pastry prep cook at the Michelin star restaurant, Elske in West Loop. October 2019, Mark felt it was time to regroup and come back to his strengths of digital design where he started his career, grateful for all that he had learned working in a kitchen with such talented cooks. Chicago Innovation has welcomed Mark into the organization as one of the team with his diverse background and experience. As we like to say, innovation is for everyone.
