Michael Arndt is editor of Crain’s Chicago Business, where he leads an editorial staff of three dozen. He moved over to Crain’s after more than 10 years as a senior editor and senior writer at BusinessWeek. Most recently at the magazine, he oversaw coverage of innovation and design, both in print and online.

He also was founding editor of a monthly magazine for BusinessWeek, called BW Chicago. Before joining BusinessWeek in 2000, he was a business editor at the Chicago Tribune for five years and was directly responsible for the paper’s Sunday Business section. He was chief economics correspondent for the Tribune in its Washington, DC, bureau from 1990 to 1995. His first job in Chicago was at the now-defunct City News Bureau.
