Baxter’s AMIA Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD) with SHARESOURCE Remote Patient Management System is the first and only APD medical device to include patient-centric features such as voice guidance, a touchscreen control panel and the SHARESOURCE two-way, cloud-based telehealth capabilities. The APD system was designed with advanced features such as animated graphics and automated step-by-step instructions with voice guidance to provide a user-friendly experience that helps guide end-stage renal disease patients through their home peritoneal dialysis (PD) therapy. Baxter’s SHARESOURCE remote patient management system allows healthcare providers to securely view their patients’ recently completed dialysis-related treatment data that is automatically collected after each PD session. Healthcare providers can act on this information by securely and remotely adjusting their patients’ home device settings without requiring them to travel to the clinic.
