Catalytic Predict, based in Chicago’s Near West Side, is an automated platform that enables any business person to configure a machine-learning prediction algorithm, and use the predictions in their business model. Users upload sample data to Catalytic, select which fields to predict, identify fields to use in calculations, and keep collecting data to improve accuracy. A finance department can flag invoices with unusual characteristics; HR can analyze resumes to identify likely candidates to hire.
