Disability Lead

Disability Lead has established an innovative approach to increase civic engagement and diverse leadership by developing and elevating a network of more than 220 leaders with disabilities. With Disability Lead’s support and active identification, our members strengthen disability representation in positions of power and influence, and increase equity, inclusion, and economic opportunity for all. Disability Lead’s proven track record of shifting power to people who live at the intersection of marginalized identities demonstrates that people with disabilities are well-suited to tackling systemic problems that have the largest impacts on the most vulnerable. Founded in Chicago, other regions in the nation are attracted to our approach and we are beginning a new journey to replicate and expand our model.
